Definitely compresses

This garment is the best I've found for flattening the tummy and providing real compression without pain. I wear a size 10-12 US and I ordered an extra small. I have a long torso and the straps are not quite long enough and they do then to hurt my shoulders. A small may have been a better choice to give me a little more comfort. I have ordered several of these over the years. I wash them by hand and they last a long time.

As recommended by my Plastic Surgeon

My surgeon, Dr. Brannon Claytor, recommended this garment, but I initially chose a different company. Thier fabric was too rough against my skin and the garment too restrictive. I immediately ordered this garment and it was delivered so quickly. The fabric is so soft on my skin. I am a month out from my abdomioplasty and I am in it ever day. It is that comfortable to wear. My swelling is going down so I am going to get a smaller one at the recommendation of my Lymphatic Drainage Massage specialist.

I bought this product because I had the same thing in size small. I needed smaller and figured it was a safe buy since I knew it fit. But when I tried on the smaller size it completely flattened my butt! The larger size gave me a horrible underwear line but it didn’t flatten my butt. I thought it was only meant to slim you on the stomach area. I wouldn’t have known that unless I tried it on. But you can’t return it once it’s out of the bag. This product is too expensive to not be able to return if it doesn’t fit properly. Don’t waste your money on something you can’t even try on.
