I want to start by saying I love my Marena compression garments. I had an abdominoplasty with liposuction and have purchased several of their products during my healing. I love the inner lining of this binder, but should have paid more attention to the review about the Velcro. I read the review and thought it was odd to worry about the appearance of the binder that was worn under everything… but she wasn’t wrong! The Velcro on this binder is SO strong, it is extremely hard to adjust and also causes the fabric to frey. I haven’t even had it 4 full days and it’s already pretty ratty. I actually prefer the binder I was given by my surgeon. It is not fun to struggle with your binder after this type of surgery. I’m choosing to only wear this one when I’m not in a compression garment (because of the inner lining). Being that I do like the Marena products, I am going to try their three strap binder and hope it’s better.
United StatesWhat I wanted and fit well, but wears poorly.
This item was a HUGE improvement over the 12” binder that the surgeon gave me. However, the velcro closure is so strong that it’s wearing down the outside of the binder fabric to the point that it frays and is quickly becoming thin. That was never a problem with the one the surgeon gave me and is very unfortunate. I would have expected better wear over time and quality from an item that costs so much money.
