When I called to let the customer service representative know that I only tried the compression tights on over under clothing she still would not accept the return. I did not wear them! They are too tight in the waist & too loose in the legs and I am a normal size 6 and not hard to fit. I’m now stuck with $134 pair of tights that I cannot use for my trip. I will not shop with them again.
I use this pair of travel compression on every flight and every car trip over three hours. The material is so comfortable. I wonder if Marena would consider adding a small flat pocket on the hip or upper leg to carry a phone or license.
When you follow the measuring and sizing guidelines and expect the item to fit but it doesn’t, they won’t let you exchange or return. Just be aware that when you make a purchase, you may be stuck with something you cannot wear.
On the fence about these. I've been searching for chic compression leggings you can wear out and about without advertising it to the world you're in medical garments. I can't say these are it. These are a moderately shiny, vertically ribbed compression tight with very raised seams. The material is a smooth rib but not at all soft. The seams don't easily line up where they're supposed to, and the leggings are too tight to adjust them perfectly. I'm not lop-sided, yet the seam on the left inner thigh is definitely too far out near the top of the leg. For compression to work best, the ankle should be tightly compressed and these are not - I can easily fit my fingers under them. The ankle is also unfinished - not hemmed - which lend to the whole compression tight look, not finished legging look. Furthermore, I asked about sizing, since my measurements line up with an XS waist, L-XL thigh, and L hip. I was told they couldn't advise me on the best size because my sizing is so varied and once opened, they cannot be returned. I'll give Marena points for a few things though: A. nicer looking than other compression leggings I've tried, B. seem high quality, C. the knees do in fact give a little, D. they're truly opaque, and E. the wide waistband is relatively comfortable and flattering. Unsure if I'll keep because the wonky inner thigh seam is really annoying and I don't like how "obvious" the seams are. But minus points for the shiny material, wonky & raised seams, no return policy, no personalized sizing guidance, and lack of compression/hem near the ankle. OH. And to help you pick a size: I have a 27.75" waist, 39.5" hip, and 22-23" thigh depending on where you measure, and wear a size 4/6. I got a size small. The waist is quite tight, even though I measured for an XS, so size up if you don't want to wear a corset. For anyone wondering I got these because I have POTS, and I can definitely feel the compression. I think in Marena I would technically size closer to a Medium, which would certainly be more comfortable, but I may lose some compression. They told me their compression is graded 17-20. It's possible with the size I chose I'm getting more, if not too much. I may consider getting a size up if there are no other alternatives out there. Hope this helps fellow shoppers!
