LIPEDEMA + COMPRESSION: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Lipedema, or painful fat syndrome, is a chronic condition that affects 1 in 9 women causing excess fat under the skin to accumulate in the lower body and upper arms. If left untreated, the condition can progress through various states of syptomatic severity.

There is no cure but the condition can be managed with compression therapy and certain types of liposuction procedures.

  • Most commonly affects the buttocks, thighs and calves, plus the ankles in mid to late stages¹,²
